Branding

Locos is a new BBQ restaurant opening in Hillyard.

The individual elements within the lockup have been chosen intentionally to symbolize and reflect what Locos stands for. The Locos Armadillo (aka “Marfa-Dillo”) embodies the idea of taking yourself seriously without being too serious. It speaks to protecting and trusting our individuality while welcoming the individuality all around us, embracing different attitudes, outlooks, and ways of being.
The Train, symbolizing journey and connection, not only ties in the name (you know, Locos…like “locomotive”) but it also pays tribute to the history of the working class neighborhood and its bright future.
While they are major fans of Willie Nelson, the quote also serves as an “all are welcome” message as Locos is non-judgmental and strives to make everyone feel like they are part of the family.

Wall Graphics

Once branding was complete the space needed some finishing touches. Locos is located in a historical building in a common room with several other businesses, so to help differentiate the BBQ joint from the other businesses we designed branded wall graphics.
